The need to drive economic recovery in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic has created a sense of urgency around addressing South Africa’s current infrastructure gap. Government and members of the private sector seem to agree that public-private partnerships (PPPs) are one of a limited number of viable mechanisms for stimulating infrastructure investment in the country. This is the first in a series of three recordings on infrastructure-related PPPs in South Africa.
