Overview
Selisha has experience in advising local clients on domestic transactions, which include finance transactions, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects in Africa.
She is working on both the project development and finance sides of transactions and is advising lenders and sponsors in the renewable energy sector. Her expertise includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating project-related contracts, conducting due diligence investigations, managing corporate documentation and conditions precedent processes.
Experience
Selisha has assisted/advised:
- Acting for the lenders, comprising Standard Bank, Absa, Nedbank, Vantage GreenX Note III and Third Way Investment Partners, in connection with the Notsi Solar PV Project, currently the largest solar photovoltaic project in South Africa and involving a complex multi-offtaker wheeling arrangement.
- Black Mountain Mining on a long-term renewable energy customer power purchase agreement supporting the energy security and sustainability objectives of one of South Africa’s key mining operations in the Northern Cape.
