Liam has experience in preference share financing, secured and syndicated lending, general corporate finance and real estate financing. He also has experience in debt capital markets, establishing domestic medium term note programmes and the various note issuances thereunder.
Experience
Liam’s recent experience includes assisting:
- H1 Capital (RF) Proprietary Limited in relation to the refinancing of its existing facilities for its equity stake in the Kenhardt hybrid solar and battery storage project.
- The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited (acting through its Corporate and Investment Banking division) in relation to the payment guarantee facility issued to a South African electricity trading company.
- The New Development Bank in relation to the establishment of its ZAR10 billion domestic medium term note programme and the issuance of notes thereunder.
- Woolworths Holdings Limited in relation to the issuances of ZAR750 million and ZAR250 million notes issuances under its ZAR10 billion domestic medium term note programme.
- Investec Bank Limited, FirstRand Bank Limited (acting through its Rand Merchant Bank division) and Sanlam Life Insurance Limited in relation to preference share and general corporate purpose funding to a South African energy trading company.
- Super Group Limited in relation to the Noteholder consent process required for the disposal of a material subsidiary.
