- Valterra Platinum Limited, the world’s largest platinum group metal producer (formerly Anglo American Platinum Limited) on its much publicised demerger from the Anglo American Platinum Group and related admission on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange as part of the debt financing team that negotiated, structured, drafted and closed a ZAR30.5 billion and USD1.72 billion multi-facility refinancing. Awarded Corporate Syndicated Loan Deal of the Year by the Global Banking and Markets Awards: Africa, 2026
Energy
- Absa Bank Limited (acting through its Corporate and Investment Banking division) on the closing of the third and fourth amendment and restatement of the AREF Commercial and Industrial Facilities Agreement, increasing aggregate commitments from ZAR 592 million (under the third amendment) to ZAR 1.035 billion (under the fourth amendment), comprising the ARM Credit Instrument Facility, the Tronox Solar Credit Instrument Facility, a ZAR 30 million unfunded Guarantee Facility backing Globeleq guarantees for the Redsands BESS Project, and a new Redsands BESS Facility of up to ZAR 460 million to fund equity contributions and development costs for a 153MW/612MWh battery energy storage system near Garona substation in the Northern Cape.
