• The lenders in connection with the financing for the construction of the 340 MW Kpone combined cycle power plant in Ghana. The first independent power project with the Electricity Company of Ghana as offtaker. African Power Deal of the Year 2014, PFI Awards.
• The lenders in respect of a 190MW CCGT power plant, capable of operating on both light crude oil and natural gas, being developed by Amandi Energy Limited at Aboadze, Ghana. African Power Deal of the Year 2016, IJGlobal Awards
• The sponsors on the development and financing of the “Bridge power project”, being (in phase 1) a 400 MW LPG fired project in Ghana. African Power Deal of the Year 2019, PFI Awards; African Power Deal of the Year 2019, IJGlobal Awards
• InfraCo Limited on financing the development, construction and operation of four onshore wind farms and all interconnections and associated transmission infrastructure on the Atlantic archipelago. The Cabeolica wind farm is the first commercial scale Public Private Partnership (PPP) wind farm in Sub‑Saharan Africa. Best Renewable Project in Africa 2011, Africa Energy Awards
• Genser (a company providing power to mines in Ghana and through Africa) in the raising of USD 340 million for the expansion of its business and the refinancing of existing debt.
• The sponsors on all aspects of the development, construction and financing of the Hakan power project, an 80MW peat project in Rwanda with a total project cost of approximately USD 300 million.
• Acted for TPG on the creation of its Matrix renewables business including the purchase of 1GW of Solar PV assets from Trina solar.
• Santander and ACS Cobra on an acquisition of development rights relating to a 550MW offshore wind farm including advice on development strategy, regulatory regime, debt financing, equity raising, EPC strategy and Offtake arrangements.
• International Power and Mitsui on the purchase and financing on a limited recourse basis, of the 1200 MW Saltend merchant power plant.
• The funders (including EIB) on the financing of Phase I of DP World’s GBP 1.6 billion London Gateway port project.
• Lenders on the USD 1 billion financing of the EAgrium fertiliser project in Egypt.
• Rio Polimeros on its USD 1 billion financing of a combined ethylene and polyethylene plant in Brazil. Financing came from USEXIM, BNDES and BNP Paribas backed by SACE insurance and SIMEST CIRR funding.
