Overview
Fiona is a member of the Private Equity Team, forming part of the Mergers and Acquisitions practice, in our Johannesburg office.
Fiona has experience assisting clients with their investments, both domestic and cross-border, across a number of industries including renewable energy, telecommunications and manufacturing.
Experience
Fiona has advised:
- AutoX Proprietary Limited and Trinitas Equity Partners in relation to their acquisition from Ecobat Technology Limited of the Zimco group of companies, as well as a post-acquisition restructure of the Zimco group.
- Convergence Partners in relation to its subscription for shares in Yellow Digital Retailers Ltd, a provider of pay-as-you-go finance for off-grid solar home systems and connectivity solutions for low-income consumers in parts of East Africa.
- International Housing Solutions in relation to the establishment of IHS Kenya CIV Green Housing SCSp, being a co-investment vehicle of the IHS Kenya Green Housing Fund, which fund houses the USD 10 million and EUR 10 million capital commitments of the IFC acting for its own account and in its capacity as implementing entity of the IFC UK Market Accelerator for Green Construction Program.
- Convergence Partners in relation to the acquisition of Datacentrix through a newly established acquisition vehicle.
- SA SME Fund of Funds on its investment into Havaic.
- Rand Mutual IT Solutions, a subsidiary of Rand Mutual Assurance Company Limited, on its acquisition of a majority stake in an insurance brokerage and COIDA services provider.
- Stanlib Infrastructure Investments, on its investment into Africa Data Centres, a Cassava Technologies subsidiary.
