Dominika is a senior associate in the Corporate Department of our Johannesburg office and a member of our Mergers and Acquisitions practice. Dominika specialises in private mergers and acquisitions (with an emphasis on private equity investments) and general corporate law. She has expertise in drafting commercial agreements, conducting legal due diligence investigations and advising clients on regulatory and corporate governance issues, of varying complexities, in the mergers and acquisitions environment in South Africa. Prior to joining Bowmans, Dominika worked at other leading South African and international law firms.

  • Carlyle on their exit from the Amecor Group in 2024.
  • Sango Capital Partners on the acquisition of Neopak Holdings from Ethos Fund VI.
  • Mahlako Gas Energy on its acquisition of a minority stake in Tetra4, holder of South Africa’s first onshore petroleum production licence.
  • Coca-Cola Beverages Africa on its acquisition of Castel Malawi’s Southern Bottlers.
  • Spartan Truck Hire on the acquisition of Leopard Transport Limited (trading as Elite Truck Hire) from Caribel Proprietary Limited and a range of funds managed by Medu Capital.
  • Foodcorp Proprietary Limited, a subsidiary of RCL Foods Limited, on its acquisition of the Sunshine Bakery group, one of South Africa’s largest independent baking businesses, from AFGRI Group Holdings and the founders.
  • RCL Foods Limited on the disposal of Vector Logistics to AP Moller. This transaction was shortlisted for Dealmakers Private Equity Deal of the Year, 2023.
  • Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Limited in the establishment of its ZAR 1.1 billion broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE) employee incentive scheme.
  • Thebe Investment Corporation on its confidential debt and equity restructuring.
