- Pick n Pay Group Ltd in respect of its ZAR4billion fully underwritten renounceable rights offer and associated corporate actions, nominated for Brunswick Deal of the Year, 2024.
- Telkom SA SOC Ltd’s disposal of its Masts and Towers Business housed in Swiftnet SOC Ltd, being a Category 1 transaction, valued at approximately ZAR75 billion, overall transaction nominated for Catalyst Private Equity Deal of the Year, 2024.
- AECI Ltd in respect of its Category 2 B-BBEE ownership transaction structured as a broad-based ownership scheme.
- Sanlam Life Insurance Ltd, acting in concert with its affiliates (Sanlam), in respect of Sanlam Africa Core Real Estate Investments Ltd’s (SACREIL) rights issue valued at approximately USD17
- Sanlam in respect of its mandatory offer to the remaining shareholders of SACREIL valued at approximately USD5 million.
- Sanlam, in respect of its compulsory acquisition of the shares held by the remaining shareholders of SACREIL who did not participate in the mandatory offer, valued at approximately USD921 000, followed by the delisting of SACREIL from the Official Market of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius.
- South African advisors to Sussex Bidco LP, a newly-formed limited partnership indirectly owned by investment funds advised by affiliates of Blackstone Inc., in respect of the cash acquisition of Industrials REIT Ltd, valued at approximately GBP511 million.
- An Australian private equity investor in respect of its acquisition of an international manufacturer and distributor of various specialised technologies, with significant operations in South Africa, valued at approximately AUD170
- Rio Tinto Mining and Exploration Ltd in respect of a corporate transaction involving a greenfields heavy mineral sands project.
- Assore Ltd in respect of its group and B-BBEE shareholding restructure, valued at approximately ZAR45
- Assore Ltd in respect of its ‘take-private’ offer to the minority (‘free-float’) shareholders and subsequent delisting from the JSE, by way of scheme of arrangement, valued at approximately ZAR7 billion.
- Omnia Holdings Ltd in respect of its ZAR2 billion underwritten, renounceable rights offer.
- MTN Zakhele Futhi (RF) Ltd, on the successful listing of its ordinary shares on the empowerment segment of the main board of the JSE.
- Phuthuma Nathi Investments (RF) Ltd and Phuthuma Nathi Investments 2 (RF) Ltd (PN2) in respect of their merger by way of scheme of arrangement, and the subsequent delisting of PN2 from the Equities Express Securities Exchange.
