The formal deliberations by the National Assembly on the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Bill, 2012 (“the Bill”), which were scheduled for this week, were unexpectedly cancelled yesterday on account of procedural concerns around the handling of the Bill by the Energy Portfolio Committee.
