Overview
Shmuel Moch is a partner in the Corporate Department of our Johannesburg office and a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice.
He specialises in mergers and acquisitions and has advised on the various elements of domestic and cross-border transactions and a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. He has advised South African and multinational companies and in a variety of sectors, including, mining, finance, property, logistics, energy and health and pharmaceutical industries.
Experience
*experience gained prior to joining Bowmans
- Advising a family office in respect of the South African aspects of its acquisition of a multinational solar-panel wholesaler
- *Advising a multinational mining company and commodities trader in respect of the sale of certain of its South African coal mines via an auction process
- *Advising a NYSE listed direct-selling company in respect of the sale of its South African subsidiary to a consortium of private equity funds and local management
- *Advising a South African property fund in respect of an interlinked sale of two commercial property portfolios to a JSE listed REIT
- *Advising and reviewing the transaction documentation in respect of the sale of a foreign university’s South African business to a subsidiary of a JSE listed private education provider
